Who should book this treatment? If you are planning for pregnancy, trying to conceive, undergoing IVF or other fertility treatments, pregnant, postpartum, breastfeeding, or recovering after pregnancy loss, please choose Perinatal Lymphatic Support.

Perinatal Lymphatic Support is a gentle, specialized treatment designed to support women across the reproductive continuum, including fertility planning, trying to conceive, IVF and other fertility treatments, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding support, and healing after pregnancy loss. Sessions are tailored to your stage, physiology, and goals, offering purposeful support during periods of significant physical and hormonal change.
This treatment helps reduce swelling, discomfort, and tissue congestion while promoting nervous system regulation and overall physiological support and recovery. Care is thoughtfully adapted throughout pregnancy and postpartum to prioritize comfort, safety, and the changing needs of each stage.

For safety, postpartum appointments are scheduled beginning four weeks after an uncomplicated vaginal delivery and four weeks after a cesarean birth with clearance from your OB or midwife. This is to ensure that the tissues have had time to heal and recovery can stabilize.

If you are currently seeking support for breastfeeding or lactation-related concerns such as breast swelling, engorgement, clogged ducts, or tissue congestion during lactation, please choose Perinatal Lymphatic Support.

If you are experiencing symptoms of mastitis such as fever, flu-like symptoms, rapidly worsening breast redness, or significant breast pain, please consult your physician or lactation consultant before scheduling treatment.

If you are undergoing IVF or other fertility treatments, please note that treatment is not appropriate during ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). If you have been advised you are at risk for or experiencing OHSS, please email the practice before booking so we can determine when treatment may be appropriate. OHSS can cause significant fluid shifts and increases the risk of blood clots during fertility treatment cycles.

Please note: Mend does not treat high-risk pregnancies. If your OB or midwife has classified your pregnancy as high-risk, please do not schedule treatment at this time.
