1. Agreement to These Terms

By accessing or using the website at mendlymphaticmassage.com ("Site"), booking an appointment, completing an intake form, or receiving services from Mend Lymphatic Wellness Center ("Mend," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

Please read these Terms carefully before booking or using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our Site or services. These Terms apply to all visitors, clients, and others who access or use the Site.
 

2. About Mend Lymphatic Wellness Center

Mend Lymphatic Wellness Center is a women's health and wellness practice located in Upper Montclair, New Jersey, specializing in Vodder-style Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and related therapeutic services.

3. Services Offered

Mend provides the following therapeutic wellness services:

  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder technique)

  • Post-operative lymphatic care

  • Breast lymphatic drainage

  • Lymphascia Body Roller treatments

  • Facial massage and lymphatic facial treatments

  • Pelvic health, lactation support, and perinatal care services (offered in collaboration with partner providers)


​All services are performed by trained and qualified practitioners. Services are therapeutic and wellness-oriented in nature. They do not constitute the practice of medicine, chiropractic, physical therapy, or any other licensed healthcare profession beyond the applicable scope of massage therapy and bodywork in the State of New Jersey.
 

4. Eligibility

Our services are available to adults aged 18 and older. Clients under the age of 18 may receive services only with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian who must be present during the session.

Certain medical conditions may make some or all of our services contraindicated. By booking an appointment, you represent that you have disclosed all relevant health information on your intake form and that you have consulted with your physician where appropriate.
 

5. Appointment Reservation (Booking)

New Clients

New clients may be required to complete a brief phone or email pre-screening consultation before booking an appointment. This applies particularly to clients with:

  • A history of recent surgery

  • A cancer diagnosis (current or prior)

  • Lymphedema or lipedema

  • Other conditions identified during the intake process

Established Clients

Established clients may book appointments directly through our online booking system powered by ClinicSense at lymphaticmassageandwellnessservices.clinicsense.com/book


Confirmation of Appointments

An online reservation is not confirmed by Mend until all required intake forms have been completed and reviewed. We reserve the right to decline or reschedule appointments that do not meet our intake requirements.
 

6. Health Intake Forms

Prior to your first appointment, you are required to complete all health intake forms provided through our booking system. These forms collect information necessary to assess your suitability for treatment and to personalize your care.

By submitting your intake forms, you represent that all information provided is accurate, complete, and current to the best of your knowledge. You agree to promptly inform us of any changes to your health status, medications, or relevant medical history prior to subsequent appointments.

Failure to disclose accurate health information may result in cancellation of your session and may affect your eligibility for future services.
 

7. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We ask that you respect our practitioners' time and the availability of appointments for other clients.

  • Cancellations and rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to appear for a scheduled appointment without prior notice, may result in a cancellation fee or forfeiture of any prepaid session fees.

  • Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in a requirement to prepay for future appointments or, at our discretion, restrictions on future bookings.

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us as early as possible by phone at (973) 604-5189, by email at admin@mendlymphaticmassage.com, or through the ClinicSense booking portal.
 

Specific fee amounts are communicated at the time of booking and may be updated from time to time. Please confirm the current cancellation policy when you book.
 

8. Fees and Payment

Service fees are listed on our Treatments page and are subject to change. All fees are quoted in U.S. dollars.

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to require prepayment for certain services or clients.

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us within 30 days at admin@mendlymphaticmassage.com and we will do our best to resolve the issue promptly.
 

9. Scope of Practice and Medical Disclaimer

Mend Lymphatic Wellness Center provides Vodder-style Manual Lymphatic Drainage, event, and community. Our practitioners are not physicians, nurses, physical therapists, or licensed medical providers, and our services do not constitute medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice.

Nothing communicated by Mend — whether on our website, during a session, or in any written or verbal communication — should be construed as medical advice or a substitute for the advice of a qualified physician or licensed healthcare provider.

You are solely responsible for consulting your physician or appropriate licensed healthcare provider before beginning any new treatment, and for any decisions you make regarding your health care. Mend does not assume responsibility for any health decisions you make based on information communicated in connection with our services.
 

10. Client Responsibilities

By booking and attending an appointment with Mend, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date health information on all intake forms

  • Notify us in advance of any changes to your health status, medications, recent procedures, or diagnoses

  • Arrive on time for your scheduled appointment

  • Communicate openly with your practitioner about your comfort level, preferences, and any discomfort during a session

  • Treat our staff and premises with respect

  • Not attend an appointment if you are feeling unwell, have a communicable illness, or have been exposed to a contagious condition


We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services to any client who is disrespectful, provides false health information, or whose behavior creates an unsafe environment for our practitioners or other clients.
 

11. Assumption of Risk and Release

Therapeutic massage and bodywork, including Manual Lymphatic Drainage, involves physical contact and carries a degree of inherent risk. While adverse reactions are uncommon, they can include temporary soreness, fatigue, or mild discomfort following treatment.

By proceeding with a session, you acknowledge that you have been informed of the nature of the services, disclosed all relevant health conditions, and you voluntarily assume any risks associated with receiving these services.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you release Mend Lymphatic Wellness Center, its owners, practitioners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or related to services rendered, except where such liability arises from gross negligence or willful misconduct.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Jersey law, Mend's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — shall not exceed the total amount you paid to Mend in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

In no event shall Mend be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, images, graphics, logos, and the overall design, is the property of Mend Lymphatic Wellness Center or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on our Site without our express written permission. Limited personal, non-commercial use of Site content for informational purposes is permitted.
 

14. Privacy

Your use of the Site and our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By agreeing to these Terms, you also acknowledge and agree to our Privacy Policy.
 

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Essex County, New Jersey. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Before initiating any formal legal action, you agree to contact us at admin@mendlymphaticmassage.com to attempt to resolve the matter informally.
 

16. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our Site or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically, and before each new booking, to stay informed of any updates.
 

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional policies or agreements referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mend Lymphatic Wellness Center with respect to your use of the Site and services, and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and representations.
